"Staff tools are decent, I think"
I use it mostly for staff schedules, and for the most part it does what I need. Changing shifts can feel a bit clunky sometimes, though maybe I’m just not using it the best way. It works overall, but I wouldn’t say it always feels super smooth.

"Membership nonsense is a full-time hobby"
I swear, dealing with the membership stuff has been such a headache. It keeps glitching like some kind of “premium feature,” and then support shows up with their awesome “bare minimum helper” energy. I just wanted a simple membership to work, not a side quest.

I tried going through the training resources, but they didn’t do much for me. A lot of it felt unclear or just not useful for what I needed, so I was kind of left figuring things out on my own..

"Mobile app can be frustrating"
I mostly use zenoti on my phone, the app just feels clunky a lot of the time. Pages can be slow to load, buttons don’t always react when I tap them, and even simple things like checking appointments or pulling up client notes take more steps than they should.
Anyway, it does work sometimes, but it’s not smooth enough for something I need to use every day. I usually end up switching to the desktop version when I can, which kind of defeats the whole purpose of having the app

"Wish we’d switched to Zenoti POS sooner"
Zenoti POS has been really solid for our front desk. Checkout is quick, and things like gift cards and packages are easy to manage without slowing everyone down. My only regret is not getting everyone comfortable with it sooner, because it’s made day-to-day checkout a lot smoother. It does have a few small annoyances, like sometimes taking a little while to load or track down an older sale, but overall it does what we need and works well

I’ve been trying to use the marketing tools, but they’ve been more frustrating than helpful. Email campaigns glitch often, my segments don’t always save correctly, and when I reach out to support, I usually just get sent links instead of real help. It’s also hard to tell which campaigns actually performed well, which kind of defeats the purpose. For what it is, I don’t think it’s worth the headache

zenoti has been fine for handling bookings, but the inventory side has been a bit frustrating for our team. Keeping track of stock counts isn’t as straightforward as it should be, and updating products feels like it takes more clicks than necessary. The reports can be confusing too, so we still end up double-checking things manually, which feels preventable. Overall, it works, but it’s not as smooth as we’d like. Inventory would be a lot better if it were simpler and less clunky.

I reached out to support and they did help me get things sorted out. The replies took a bit longer than I would’ve liked, but their tone was friendly and they seemed like they actually wanted to help, so overall it was a good experience

"Multi-location setup is more work than expected"
We use Zenoti across a few locations. It gets messy quickly. I thought it would be simpler to keep everything in sync.

Some settings do not copy over the way you expect. Reports can be confusing between locations. Sometimes one small change seems to mess with something else.

Support does respond. But it usually takes too much back and forth. Once everything is set up, it works okay. Still, managing multiple branches should be smoother for the price

"Decent, but not the easiest to pick up"
zenoti is okay overall, and it’s not like it’s impossible to use, but some of the pages feel more confusing than they really need to be. Once you get used to where everything is, it works fine. I just feel like they could’ve made the layout a little more straightforward instead of making users figure it out as they go.

"Booking an appointment was a pain"
Trying to book an appointment through Zenoti was frustrating. It kept showing times like they were available, but once I picked one, it would suddenly say it wasn’t open anymore.

I had to start over a few times, and the page felt kind of slow the whole way through. Even after the booking finally seemed to go through, I still wasn’t totally sure if it was actually confirmed.
For something that should be quick and easy, it ended up being way more annoying than it needed to be. Not a great experience, honestly.

I tried booking an appointment through Zenoti and, it was frustrating. The pages were slow, the time slot looked available and then somehow disappeared after checkout, and I never even got a proper confirmation email. I ended up having to call the salon anyway to sort it out, which kind of defeats the whole purpose of online booking. It just doesn’t feel right to offer a system like that if customers still have to chase things down themselves. Definitely not a smooth experience.

Trying to cancel this contract was such a headache. The cancellation terms were terrible, and dealing with the automated system just made it worse. I kept getting bounced around with no clear help, when all I wanted was to end the contract and move on

It’s just been kind of frustrating because most days it feels slow or glitchy, and then of course it freezes right when we actually need it to work. Like, you’re trying to get something done quickly and suddenly you’re just sitting there waiting, clicking around, hoping it catches up. When it works it’s fine, but those freezes make it hard to rely on.

I kept running into issues with payments not going through properly, and I’m not sure if it was just us or what. Some charges took forever to show up, which made things confusing on our end and for customers too. Support didn’t really clear it up either, so checkout ended up feeling messier than it needed to be.

Buying and tracking packages in Zenoti has been kind of messy for us. The credits don’t always update clearly, so staff end up double-checking things more than they should. It works sometimes, but overall it takes more time than it should.

"Felt a bit boxed in with customization"
Zenoti has been fine for the basic day-to-day stuff, but it got kind of frustrating when we tried to make it fit our setup better. We wanted to tweak forms and workflows more than the system allowed, and it felt like we kept running into walls. Support was nice and did try to help, but a lot of the answers ended up being workarounds instead of real fixes. If your needs are standard, it might be okay, but for us it just felt a little limiting.

"Zenoti has been useful for keeping all..."
Zenoti has been useful for keeping all our client details in one place. I can quickly pull up notes, past visits, and preferences, which definitely helps day to day. It does load slowly sometimes, which can be annoying when we’re busy. My only real hesitation is that after dealing with payment-related stuff, I don’t fully trust it without double-checking everything. Overall though, it does help us stay organized.
